The site sits on a steeply inclined hill overlooking the valley of eastern Caracas and the Avila Mountain to the north. The site has an existing house the new owners wished to remodel to accomodate their needs as empty nest parents. Atention focused on an enclosed garage, the entrance foyer, a new terrace roof with vegetation and exercise areas, new interior spaces and finishes, a new facade and landscaping. It incorporates sustainable design concepts such as rainwater retention and reuse for garden irrigation, recycled and low energy emitting materials for exterior surfaces
